The Thefts Keep Coming
Our friends over at the Student Press Law Center (SPLC) are reporting yet another student newspaper theft, this time at Bryant University in Rhode Island. According to the SPLC, Bryant is investigating the disappearance of approximately 900 copies of The Archway, Bryant’s student newspaper. The Archway’s editor—who personally witnessed a student taking piles of the paper from a distribution rack—told the SPLC she believes the theft may be related to a front-page article about an off-campus car accident in which a Bryant student has been charged with DUI. FIRE will keep a close eye on this developing story.
