Student Press Law Center Releases Updated Legal Handbook for Student Journalists
This morning, the Student Press Law Center announced the release of the third edition of Law of the Student Press, the organization's guide to the legal issues confronting the student press.
SPLC, a longtime FIRE ally, has been publishing Law of the Student Press since 1984, with the most recent edition arriving in 1993. The new Law of the Student Press is significantly larger than the earlier editions, with comprehensive updates addressing the significant changes seen over the past fifteen years in the caselaw governing the student press.
FIRE congratulates SPLC on its new publication and encourages interested students and faculty to check out this valuable resource.
