Students Interested in Defending Liberty, Join the CFN Today

Students interested in defending liberty on their own campuses should join FIRE's Campus Freedom Network (CFN). The CFN works to facilitate cooperation and provide resources for students and faculty across the country interested in free speech rights. Our website, thecfn.org, has instructions on what to do if a student is facing censorship, educational resources including FIRE's Guides to Student Rights on Campus, and an activism section including tips for students intent on reforming their campuses for liberty. CFN members have the opportunity to apply to attend the CFN's annual student conference and the option of participating in the CFN's incentive program, in which students can earn points by hosting FIRE speakers, writing op-eds on FIRE-related issues, and recruiting new members to the CFN.

A quick way to earn points is by posting FIRE's Spotlight and Speech Code of the Month widgets on your blog or Facebook profile. It's an easy way to bring a little light to the oppressive policies that your university likely keeps in place.

Students who sign up for the CFN receive a free FIRE t-shirt so they can show their dedication to defending individual rights at their institutions. There's no cost involved and no conceivable reason why every student reading this shouldn't join today.
