Greg Harold Greubel

Litigation Team
Greg Harold Greubel is a litigator and passionate advocate for the First Amendment rights of all Americans. With experience litigating impactful cases nationwide, Greg defends the rights of students, artists, professors, journalists, and employees, with a special focus on protecting academic freedom in higher education.
Greg’s cases have been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Fox News, CNN, the Wall Street Journal, and many others. Greg is also a regular commentator on issues relating to free speech culture, with his writings published in Persuasion, The Des Moines Register, Reason Magazine, and other outlets. Greg regularly appears on radio and TV to speak about his cases and free speech issues.
Greg developed an interest in free speech culture as a young, politically active Iowan. He continued to hone this interest by studying philosophy at the University of Northern Iowa, where he graduated summa cum laude. Following his undergraduate degree, Greg attended Villanova University School of Law, graduating cum laude. Outside of FIRE, Greg enjoys hunting, fishing, and supporting Philadelphia’s sports teams.
Greg is admitted to the Iowa, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and California bars. He is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States and several courts of appeals and district courts.
