Ty Stillerman
Ty graduated with a B.A. in political economy from the University of California, Berkeley, where he became deeply passionate about civil liberties (or the frequent lack thereof). He joined FIRE after nearly 10 years in the behavioral health field, where he worked with homeless and incarcerated populations at the intersection of the judicial and healthcare systems. Since then, he has only become more steadfast in his commitment to free speech, due process, and the other invaluable principles that underpin our freedoms and drive FIRE's mission.
He now resides in New Jersey, where he spends his weekends cooking, hiking, snowboarding, and reading. However, most of his free time is spent chasing down and wrestling household items away from his husky puppy, Omelette, who has apparently learned how to open his sock drawer.
