About Ryne Weiss

Ryne graduated with general honors from the University of Chicago in 2014 with a B.A. in Classics and an emphasis on Latin and Greek. As a student, he was a DJ for many poetry events and after graduating, he worked as a sound engineer and production assistant at various performance venues across the Chicago area. His passion for protecting free scholarship, artistic freedom, and students’ right to protest brought him to FIRE. Ryne’s interests include movies, music, and video games, in addition to more niche things like giant robots and pro wrestling. In 2013, he captained a winning team in the world’s largest scavenger hunt.
