SEXUAL HARASSMENT AND MISCONDUCT: Sexual harassment occurs when a student engages in unwelcome conduct of a sexual or gender-based nature that is sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive so as to substantially interfere with an individual’s employment, education, or access to University programs, activities and opportunities, and such conduct would detrimentally affect a reasonable person under the same circumstances.

DISCRIMINATORY HARASSMENT: Discriminatory harassment occurs when a student engages in unwelcome conduct of a discriminatory nature that is sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive so as to substantially interfere and create a hostile environment with an individual’s employment, education, or access to University programs, activities and opportunities, and such conduct would detrimentally affect a reasonable person under the same circumstances. Discriminatory harassment also includes physical or verbal conduct that is sufficiently severe and pervasive that it creates a hostile environment that is detrimental to the educational interests or climate of an individual(s).
