Harassment is a particularly harmful and illegal form of discrimination. It is SDSU’s policy that no form of harassment on any grounds of employees, students, and others associated with SDSU is permitted. Harassment means behavior toward another person that has the purpose or perception of creating an intimidating, hostile, or demeaning environment in order to interfere with another person’s ability to participate in or to realize the intended benefits of a University activity, employment, or resource. Sexual harassment is a particularly offensive form of discrimination.
Sexual harassment may be established by showing that an individual has been subjected to unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature.
