Coppin State University is a community where people of diverse
backgrounds and philosophy live in harmony, accept personal responsibility
for their actions, and respect the rights of others. In order for this
community to thrive, tenets of behavior must be strongly valued and clearly
understood. To accomplish these goals, the University must require certain
standards of behavior.
The Student Code is based on respect of others, the environment, the
mission of the University, and the rights and responsibilities of community
membership. The cornerstone of the Student Code is consideration and
responsibility. Students are expected to respect the rights of all members of
the University Community... All students are accountable for their
behavior and shall not behave in a manner which infringes on individual or
group rights or jeopardizes the health, safety of individuals or property.
