Students: This Is Your Last Chance. Stand Up for Your Rights!

There’s just one day left to apply for the FIRE Student Network Conference! As it is, nearly 60 percent of the more than 400 schools in FIRE’s Spotlight database clearly and substantially restrict freedom of speech. The good news, however, is that this percentage has been declining consistently, if slowly, for six consecutive years. Established legal and moral doctrine are on our side, and we can win this battle for student rights. But we can’t do it alone.
We need your help. In just ten minutes, you can take a significant step towards accelerating the establishment of free expression in academia. All you have to do is apply for the conference. The future of free speech depends on it.
FIRE will cover all expenses associated with the conference, including meals and accommodations, as well as up to $300 for travel. Students can apply for the conference here and join the FIRE Student Network here. See you on July 25!
