Student Development Associate
Jack Cordano Povilaitis

Jack Cordano Povilaitis graduated from Oberlin College in 2023 with a B.A. in law and society. While at Oberlin, Jack was a Law and Justice Scholar and a Podis Fellow in Writing Pedagogy. After graduating, he volunteered in Warsaw, Poland, with Fundacja Rozwoju Dzieci. He spent 14 months working on the development and implementation of the SPYNKA program, a response to the mass influx of Ukrainian refugee children and mothers into Poland as a result of Russia’s 2022 invasion of neighboring Ukraine.

Seeing the generational divide in Poland surrounding individual rights and liberties due to the remnants of a communist system, Jack returned to the United States eager to defend those inalienable rights guaranteed to all Americans. He believes that the fight must be had in all arenas, and is passionately supporting the next generation of students to get involved.

Jack enjoys woodworking, playing ultimate frisbee, and scouring Facebook Marketplace for any exceptional deals.
