Angel Eduardo is FIRE’s senior writer and editor, best known for creating the rhetorical concept of star-manning. He is currently board chair for the Foundation Against Intolerance & Racism, and is on the board of advisors for Atheists for Liberty as well as the Institute for Liberal Values.

Angel graduated with an M.F.A. in creative writing from CUNY Hunter College in New York City, and his writing has been featured in The Free Press, Quillette, Persuasion, and Newsweek Opinion, among other print and online publications.

Through his work at FIRE, Angel hopes to continue promoting a culture of free speech, free inquiry, and freedom of expression through honest, good-faith, and compassionate engagement with people across the political and ideological spectrum — all bolstered by his six words of advice: Be kind; we’re all first drafts.
