Hello everyone,

For several months now, Jon Haidt and I have been working on an Afterword to update our findings and thinking from our 2018 book "The Coddling of the American Mind." And, in a result that probably won’t surprise you, our update quickly became way too long to add to the printed book. Therefore, we have decided to release the Afterword online in seven segments based on themes of the book over the next two months, and then put the entire Afterword together in a single document available on our book site, TheCoddling.com. We are also planning to do an audio version of the Afterword for those of you who, like me, prefer to consume their reading with their ears. We plan to start this next Thursday and, sidenote, it is always fun to be writing with Jon again.

This will essentially serve as a conclusion to my series "Catching up with Coddling," the full content of which you can read here. Thanks to all of you who contributed to this series and for all the readers, especially those of you who provided us with helpful feedback.
